RMA Merges with Western Technologies, Enviro-Drill

US-based infrastructure testing and inspection services provider RMA Group of Companies has merged with Western Technologies, Inc. and Enviro-Drill, Inc. to create a provider of technology-enabled laboratory testing, inspection, and quality management services for critical infrastructure end-markets, the group said.

Ed Lyon, RMA's president and CEO, will lead the newly combined business, supported by an experienced management team consisting of leaders from both RMA and WT.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The combined business will employ over 600 talented engineers, geologist, inspectors, technicians, drillers, and other professionals across nearly 20 offices in five states throughout the Western US.

The additional scale will enable RMA and WT to deliver a more expansive solution set for a combined customer base of more than 1,200 infrastructure asset owners and engineering and construction companies across diverse government and commercial end-markets, including transportation, healthcare, power, and water.

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom LLP served as legal counsel to RMA. DLA Piper LLP served as legal counsel to Western Technologies.
