California-based media-focussed localisation services company Iyuno Media Group has agreed to acquire 100% of SDI Media from Imagica Group Inc. to expand global localisation services in the media and entertainment industry, the company said.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The combination of the two service providers creates an increased demand to produce the breadth of languages needed, delivered at the scale and speed customers require.

Iyuno was supported in this transaction by Altor, Shamrock Capital and SoftBank Ventures Asia, its primary financial partners.

Iyuno Media Group offers media localisation, providing dubbing, subtitling and media engineering services in over 80 languages.

SDI Media is a media localisation provider that offers dubbing, subtitling and media services to content owners, broadcasters and multi-platform distributors. SDI Media offers a complete end-to-end localisation solution for theatrical releases and episodic series.
