MetLife to Acquire Versant Health for USD 1.675bn

New York-based MetLife, Inc. (NYSE: MET) has agreed to acquire Versant Health, owner of marketplace brands Davis Vision and Super Vision, for approximately USD 1.675bn in an all-cash transaction, the company said.

MetLife will acquire Versant from an investor group led by Centerbridge Partners and including FFL Partners.

The acquisition will strengthen MetLife's position in US group benefits and establish its position in the US managed vision care market.

CapM Advisors acted as financial advisor and Sidley Austin LLP served as legal counsel to MetLife in connection with this transaction. Barclays and Centerview Partners, LLC acted as financial advisors and Willkie Farr and Gallagher LLP served as legal counsel to Versant Health in connection with this transaction.
