7 February 2020 - Real estate funds of South Carolina-based rental housing development company Greystar Real Estate Partners, LLC have acquired two existing office buildings for re-development in the Inner Melbourne market of South Yarra, to expand acquisitions of rental housing properties in Australia, the company said.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Greystar acquired two adjoining properties in the suburb of South Yarra.
The firm is expected to re-develop the properties into an integrated mixed-use project comprising attractive ground floor retail, approximately 5,000 sqm of high-quality office space and over 500 rental units across two towers.
Greystar is a fully integrated real estate company offering expertise in investment management, development, and management of rental housing properties globally.
